Seeing as Crud had updated the Raceguard, Crud thought they might as well do a number on the CRUDCATCHER as well. They basically took the futuristic shape of the old ZX Crudcatcher, and crafted a soft nose on it. While they were at it they put some protective cushioning between the frame and the blade, and moved the fixing lugs to accommodate fatter frame tubes.

The Crud Catcher is the original mountain bike mudguard and now in its nth incarnation is still a simple solution that works incredibly well. A soft rubber end means you can sit it snugly against the down tube without rubbing anything up the wrong way, plus the O rings make for easy fitting. Designed in Yorkshire, you know it's going to be perfect in British conditions - this really is a perfect example of form following function. We reckon it's also worth noting that all Crud stuff is made in the UK and carries the recyclable symbol. Not that you'll be doing that any time soon because they do tend to last...
